EL PASO, TEXAS – The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Jail Annex is thrilled to share the news of another remarkable personal achievement within our correctional system. An incarcerated individual has successfully completed the comprehensive General Educational Development (GED) program, a testament to their determination and the transformative power of education. This program, a cornerstone of our commitment to rehabilitation and reducing recidivism, empowers incarcerated individuals with valuable education and skills. The graduation ceremony, a celebration of this individual's journey, was held on June 4, 2024, at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Jail Annex.
The GED program, which started in March 2023, offers incarcerated individuals at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Jail Annex the opportunity to earn their high school equivalency diplomas.
