NEWS RELEASE- MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT (ATV) at LOS TULES AND HARTLEY

EL PASO, TEXAS – On October 5, 2024, approximately 10:30 pm., El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a call involving an ATV vehicle rollover at the intersection of Los Tules and Hartley. A 35-year-old male was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The intersection is closed off for approximately the next three hours. The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public of the importance of safe driving practices, especially when operating off-road vehicles such as ATVs, it is generally illegal to operate an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on public roads in Texas.

Most Wanted Fugitives Week of October 4, 2024

EL PASO, TEXAS – Crime Stoppers of El Paso, Inc., distributes fugitives wanted by the El Paso Police Department and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office every week through the Most Wanted feature. The attached fugitives are individuals, where attempts in locating them for one reason or another have been unsuccessful. The agencies submit these fugitives to Crime Stoppers of El Paso, Inc., which distributes them to the news media and offers the use of the Crime Stoppers hotline for information regarding the whereabouts of these fugitives. NEWS RELEASE- Motor Vehicle Accident / Driving While Intoxicated, I-10 EB, El Paso County.

EL PASO, TEXAS – On October 4, 2024, at approximately 1:52 AM., El Paso County Sheriff's Office Deputies assigned to the East Montana Patrol Station were investigating a Motor Vehicle Accident at I-10 EB MM 37. While deputies were blocking traffic with emergency overhead lights, a vehicle struck a patrol unit and a tow truck. Investigation revealed the driver, 27-year-old Roman Aranda, was intoxicated and subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
At approximately 3:15 AM., Deputies assigned to the Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station were assisting by directing traffic near I-10 EB MM 35, when an additional vehicle struck another patrol unit. Investigation revealed the driver, 32-year-old Daniel Vasqez, was also intoxicated and subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Both subjects were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Because they are pending the booking process, no booking image is available at the moment.

NEWS RELEASE- CONSTRUCTION SITE THEFT (LUMBER)

EL PASO, TEXAS – El Paso County Sheriff's Office Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station Deputies responded to the 300 block of Roper, Clint, El Paso County, in reference to a suspicious vehicle at a home builder construction site. Deputies met with 34-year-old Daniel Garcia Monge, who was observed to have several pieces of lumber belonging to the builder on his trailer. Through further investigation, Garcia Monge was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Downtown Detention Facility for Theft Prop >=$100<$750 with a $750 bond.
