Injury to a Child, Elderly Individual, or Disabled Individual. Andrew Martinez

EL PASO, TEXAS – On June 24, 2024 at approximately 1833 hours, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies assigned to the Northwest Patrol Station responded to the intersection of De Alva Drive and Clipper Road located in Canutillo, Texas, in reference to theft information. Upon arrival, deputies met with the victim, who directed them to the location of the offender. Once contact was made with the offender, deputies began to look into the initial complaint. The offender was found to have an outstanding criminal warrant from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office for Injury to a Child, Elderly Individual, or Disabled Individual, as well as two additional traffic warrants. Deputies also located a reported stolen motorcycle on the scene. Subsequently, the scene was released to the Anthony Police Department, which was the original investigating agency on the theft case.  The offender, identified as 28-year-old Andrew Martinez, was processed and confined to the El Paso County Downtown Detention Facility under a $20,800 bond for Injury to a Child, Elderly Individual, or Disabled Individual and two additional traffic warrants.
