PJH 1ST ANNUAL KICKBALL TOURNAMENT
FABENS, TX – On November 26, 2023, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station proudly hosted its first kickball tournament on Sunday, November 26, 2023. The event occurred at Fabens High School, and enthusiastic participation was witnessed from children from the communities of Fabens, Clint, and San Elizario, all vying for the coveted first-place title. The tournament showcased the incredible talent and sportsmanship of the young athletes, with each team displaying exceptional skills and determination. After a series of thrilling matches, Team Eagles emerged victorious, clinching the championship and earning well-deserved recognition for their outstanding performance. The Peter J Herrera Patrol Station firmly believes in the power of youth outreach, recognizing it as a crucial step towards fostering a stronger and more harmonious relationship between law enforcement and the community. By organizing this kickball tournament, the Patrol Station aimed to provide a platform for children to engage in healthy competition, build camaraderie, and develop essential life skills.
The Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, their families, and Fabens High School for their unwavering support and cooperation in making this event a resounding success. The station also acknowledges the dedication and hard work of the event organizer, Deputy Crystal Nesbitt, and coaches, Deputy Eric Torres, Deputy Alan Pardo, Deputy Aaron Macias, and Deputy Guillermo Chavez, without whom this tournament would not have been possible.
