ACTIVE SHOOTER PRESENTATION AT E.P. DENTISTRY – DYER LOCATION

EL PASO, TX – On Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Community Service Section provided a course on Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event to 20 staff members employed at E.P. Dentistry, 9813 Dyer. The presentation aims to assist civilians in understanding what they should do in case of an active shooter event. The course is based on ALERT's AVOID, DENY, and DEFEND strategies, providing guidance, strategies, and a plan for surviving an active shooter event. The Deputy also showed the employees how to apply tourniquets and care for the wounded.
