2022 DWI MADD AWARDS

El Paso, Texas – The Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) held its annual awards ceremony on August 30, 2023, to honor the achievements of law enforcement and community partners' achievements in drunk driving prevention, education, and training during the year 2022. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office gave recognition to three patrol deputies for their commendable endeavors in the year 2022, identifying them as follows:

Montana Patrol Station Deputy Edmundo Machado was recognized with the Enforcement Hero Award. Deputy Machado led the Montana Station and the agency for the most arrests in 2022.

Deputy Dario Garcia of the Northwest Station is recognized for his exceptional service and nominated for the Outstanding Service Award. This nomination results from his exemplary leadership, as he has achieved the highest number of arrests within his station. (Not pictured)

Peter H. Herrera recognized Deputy Ashley Ernewayn-Herrera for the prestigious Outstanding Rookie Award due to her exceptional performance in leading her station with the highest number of arrests.
