P.B.I.G KIDS KICKOFF DAY AT LORENZO G. ALARCON ELEMENTARY

El Paso, Texas – On Friday, August 25, 2023, The Community Service Section Deputies of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office participated in the P.B.I.S (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) Kids Kickoff Day at Lorenzo G. Alarcon Elementary School, located at 12501 Socorro, San Elizario, Texas.

The presentation was conducted for students ranging from 3rd to 5th grades, with an estimated attendance of around 200 students. The school personnel imparted information to the students concerning the school's policies and guidelines, while esteemed guest speakers from the Sheriff's Office were also present. The speakers provided insights into the requirements and responsibilities of a Sheriff Deputy and pertinent laws applicable to their respective ages.

The students were educated on firearm safety, making emergency calls to 911, refusing drugs, and the daily duties of a Sheriff Deputy and the essential qualities required for success in this role.
