ACTIVE SHOOTER PRESENTATION AT TEXAS KIDS DENTAL CARE – JOE BATTLE LOCATION

EL PASO, TEXAS – On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies from the Community Service Section gave a Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event course to thirty-eight staff members employed with Texas Kids Dental Care. This presentation is designed to assist civilians in understanding what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The course is aimed and developed on the AVOID, DENY, and DEFEND strategies originated by ALERT, and it provides strategies, guidance, and a plan for surviving and active shooter event.
