Welcome to El Paso County, Zechariah with Running 4 Heroes

El Paso, Texas – On March 24, 2023, El Paso County Sheriff's Office Deputies welcomed Zechariah as he arrived at the El Paso International Airport. This teenager runs one mile for every First Responder who makes the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He has always had a deep respect for First Responders and developed his passion for running at the age of five. Zechariah is the Founder of Running 4 Heroes, an organization put together in 2019. Running 4 Hero's mission is to raise awareness and funds for those killed or hurt in the line of duty.

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, Zechariah will lead the runners in the 3rd Annual Deputy Peter John Herrera #4928 5k! Deputy Peter John Herrera was one of the first miles that Zechariah conducted in 2019, and we thank him for helping us honor our hero! Please join us, we would love to see you, and Zechariah would love to run with you during the event!
