On Sunday, March 26th, Zechariah will lead the runners in the 3rd Annual Deputy Peter John Herrera #4928 5k! Deputy Peter John Herrera was one of the first miles that Zechariah conducted in 2019, and we thank him for helping us honor our hero! We invite everyone in El Paso County to join us for this 5k. We want to thank all our Badge Sponsorships’ that have assisted with the Peter John Herrera Memorial Run. Their Signs will be placed along the race route.

The memorial race will help raise funds for the Peter John Herrera Scholarship Program.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Foundation developed the Deputy Peter John Herrera Scholarship Fund program out of a strong desire to honor the ultimate sacrifice made by Deputy Peter John Herrera. The scholarship program was instituted to fund higher education for students enrolled in schools within the limits of El Paso County. His memory will never be forgotten. We celebrate his life and legacy.

Check-in is from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., the opening ceremony is at 7:30 a.m., and the race starts at 8:00 a.m.
