RED RIBBON WEEK PRESENTATION AT ESCONTRIAS ELEMENTARY

El Paso, Texas - On October 26, 2021, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office PAWS in Detention section attended Escontrias Elementary Red Ribbon Rally in Socorro, Texas.

Students and Staff learned about the PAWs program and how it allows inmates to obtain vocational training along with providing homeless/Rescue pets an opportunity to be adopted. Officer Fernandez and Ortega along with PAWs Canine Cadet Bailey, attended the October 26, 2021 event. Officer Fernandez and his Canine Cadet conducted demonstrations on basic commands.
