SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS WANTED SUBJECT

El Paso, Texas – On May 11, 2021, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Warrants & Fugitive Apprehension Unit conducted an investigation at a residence located in the 1600 block of Phil Gibbs that led to the arrest of a most wanted subject.
Deputies attempted to make contact with Victor Lee Batres, age 43, but the individual continuously refused to open the door to the residence and denied being the wanted subject.
Through the course of the investigation, the individual was positively identified by a member of the household; subsequently, deputies made entry to the residence and took Batres into custody.
Batres was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Assault Int/Reck Breath/Cir Fam Mem w/Prev IAT, Assault Family Household Member Prev Conv IAT, and Poss Marij <=5lbs >4oz.
