PERMITS

The State of Texas does not allow the County to issue building permits nor do we have zoning authority or perform environmental reviews.  We will not have records responsive to these requests.  Please contact either Emergency Service District (ESD) #1 or #2 for building permit guidance in the unincorporated areas of the county.  They can be contacted via their websites, www.epcesd1.com or www.epcountyesd2.org, respectively.

Before making an inquiry, please also confirm that the subject site is not located within the City of El Paso's municipal limits, as El Paso County does not have information related to the City of El Paso.  Please use the City of El Paso's online mapping service at gis.elpasotexas.gov/pdnmapajs to determine the appropriate jurisdiction.
