INSPECTION AND ENFORCEMENT
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Inspections and Enforcement Division is focused on customer service, safety, and providing the best possible advice and inspection services to homeowners, contractors, and developers.
The Inspections and Enforcement Division is responsible for the oversight of development on public and private property. They are tasked with ensuring construction activities are built in accordance with the permits issued. They are also tasked with issuing violations for unpermitted activities.

Driveways and Sidewalks
Improvement within the Public Right-of-Way
A driveway installation, modification or any other type of work, i.e. Sidewalk, that takes place within the public right-of-way requires a permit in advance. A County Inspector will assist with ensuring county regulations are met in order to receive a permit. This compliance will cover right-of-way safety and drainage, and damage to the county road.
Once a permit has been issued, please call El Paso County Inspector to approve construction.
Road-Cuts
Any person who undertakes any work which will cut, break or otherwise damage a public street (right-of-way) must obtain a road-cut permit prior to beginning the work
