Holiday Closure Schedule

Due to the upcoming holiday season, our office will be closed for the following days:

  • November 21, 2024: Closed at 2 PM
  • November 22, 2024: Closed all day
  • November 27, 2024 (Noon) – December 2, 2024: Closed (No payments accepted during this period)
  • December 20, 2024 – January 5, 2025: Closed (No payments accepted during this period)

Important Filing Deadlines:

  • Last day to file evictions for the 2024 year: December 5, 2024
  • Evictions filed after December 5, 2024, will be scheduled for the next available hearing in January 2025.

You may file your case 24/7 at www.efiletexas.gov during our closures.

This office accepts: Cash, Cashier’s Check, Money Orders, Debit/Credit Cards and electronic checks.

On Criminal cases a payment plan will only be available after a hearing and final judgment is rendered on the case. To request a hearing please come to the office as paperwork will need to be signed by the Defendant. If you do not live in the area of El Paso County you can contact the court via email for your options

BOUNDRIES FOR EACH JP COURT HAVE BEEN REDRAWN AND ACCEPTED BY THE STATE. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE FILING IN THE CORRECT PRECINCT.

OUR COURT WILL SET EACH CASE BASED ON CURRENT GUIDLINES AND FOR SAFETY REASONS WE ARE ASKING TO HAVE THE PARTIES APPEAR TELEPHONICALLY, BY VIDEO, OR IF IN PERSON, BE SUBJECT TO STRICT RESTRICTIONS UPON ENTRY OF THE BUILDING.
