Motor Vehicle Accident at the Vinton Exit Overpass

El Paso, Texas – On September 12, 2023, at approximately 9:40 AM, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to an overturned semi-truck in the upper valley, specifically on the overpass at the Vinton exit. No injuries have been reported at this time, and there is currently no traffic congestion. However, it is anticipated that the overpass will need to be temporarily closed once the tow trucks arrive to rectify the situation.

We expect a road closure lasting approximately 6 to 8 hours. Please make necessary arrangements in advance and consider utilizing alternative routes. Consider utilizing Mile Marker Exit 0 in Anthony or Transmountain Rd as alternative routes.
