EL PASO COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM ORGANIZES "LUNCH WITH OUR HEROS" EVENT AT CLINT HIGH SCHOOL

El Paso, Texas - SEPTEMBER 6, 2023- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) successfully hosted the "Lunch with Our Heroes" event at Clint High School on September 1, 2023. This unique gathering brought together deputies, hero students, and teachers from the special education department to share stories, enjoy pizza and promote awareness of mental and emotional well-being in schools.
Recognizing the importance of fostering a safe and nurturing environment for students, the Sheriff's CIT took the initiative to organize this event. By engaging with students and teachers from the special education department, the CIT aimed to raise awareness about the unique challenges individuals with special needs face and promote inclusivity within the school community.

During the event, deputies shared inspirational stories, interacted with students, and provided a supportive atmosphere for open conversations. The "Lunch with Our Heroes" event created a platform for students and teachers to connect with law enforcement professionals and encouraged students to develop positive relationships with authority figures.
