HUMAN SMUGGLING AND NARCOTICS ON NASHUA RD

El Paso, Texas – On August 25th, 2023, at approximately 08:32 a.m., El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assigned to the Northwest Patrol Station conducted a traffic stop at the 900 block of Nashua Road on a U-Haul vehicle for disregarding a stop sign. During their contact, Deputies observed two occupants who were highly nervous and displayed unusual behavior. As they continued their roadside interview, they observed two male subjects concealed between the seats and cabin wall of the U-Haul.

Deputies conducted a wanted person’s warrants checks and arrested Larry Jimenez for an outstanding felony warrant from the US Marshal’s Office for Alien Smuggling. The U-Haul was searched, and Deputies located fentanyl, marijuana, and methamphetamine. The female passenger, identified as Aamin Olivas, claimed ownership of all narcotics in the vehicle and was subsequently placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana Under 2 ounces, Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B<1G, and Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B>=1G<4G.

Deputies contacted the United States Border Patrol for referral on the occupants who were located hiding. The U.S. Marshall Office accepted the referral for Mr. Jimenez on the Alien Smuggling warrant.
