EASTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL 2023 HOMECOMING PARADE
September 1, 2023
El Paso, Texas – The Community Services Section of the El Paso Sheriff's Office actively participated in the Homecoming Parade of Eastwood High School on Thursday, August 31, 2023. The theme chosen for this year's parade was "It's Showtime! Sarge's Cinema". The procession commenced at East Point Elementary and concluded at the esteemed Eastwood High School at 2430 McRae.
The educational institution organized a pep rally at Trooper Stadium, observing various customary school practices, including the ceremonial burning of the letter "E," paying tribute to the distinguished "honored ex," culminating in a magnificent fireworks exhibition. It was a privilege to partake in the event alongside the esteemed presence of the Sheriff's Office 2015 Ford Explorer commemorating our fallen Deputy Peter John Herrera and the 2005 GMC Hummer 2.
Lauren Uribarri, the Student Activities Director at Eastwood High School, oversaw the well-coordinated event. Additionally, we would like to extend special recognition to Mr. Chinolla's Law Enforcement students for walking alongside and are proud El Paso County Sheriff's Explorer Post 2005 members. We thank "Home of El Paso's Finest" for their efforts.
