Community Access to County Government

At the beginning of my term as your Commissioner, I committed to a goal to make county government easier for you to access the services provided. The Eastside Annex is very close to ground breaking which should be early 2014.

El Paso County has secured the property for the annex at the corner George Deiter and Robert Wynn. The annex will house my community office, Justice Court Precinct 4, Constable Precinct 4, Adult Probation and the County Clerk. The annex will also have a community room that will seat as many as 100 people and will be available to the constituents for meetings.

An adjoining lot was also wisely purchased by the county which will allow for an expansion to include other county offices.

The annex will allow constituents to visit with me without having to travel all the way downtown. Because the business of the county takes place downtown, the hours for the annex may be subject to the priorities at the Court House. With the help of volunteers, we can have the office open every day during regular business hours.
