ABOUT THE EL PASO AREA TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, LGC
The El Paso Area Transportation Service, LGC is organized for the purpose of encouraging and assisting local units of government to join and cooperate with one another to provide and deliver regional multimodal transportation solutions for the residents of the Greater El Paso community. The LGC is a partnership between the County, Horizon City, the City of San Elizario and the Village of Vinton. The organization was recognized by the Texas Secretary of State on November 29th, 2021. The LGC looks forward to continuing the process to begin to implement a seamless regional transit system that will benefit the entire El Paso Region as a whole with public transportation.
Public Hearing for the ADA Paratransit Plan
El Paso Area Transportation Services (EPATS), LGC, invites the public and stakeholders to participate in an important public hearing regarding the proposed ADA Paratransit Plan for El Paso County. This plan aims to enhance transportation accessibility for individuals with disabilities and is scheduled to commence service in July 2024 under the name El Paso Transportation Authority (ETA), with ETA Access providing paratransit service.
The public hearing will be held during EPATS’ monthly board meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, beginning at 1:30pm at 500 E. San Antonio, 3rd Floor, Room 303. This meeting presents an opportunity for community members to provide valuable feedback and comments on the proposed plan.
Additional information, as well as copies of the proposed ADA Paratransit Plan are available in English and Spanish to download and review on the El Paso Transportation Authority website at elpasotransportationauthority.org/access.
EPATS looks forward to the community’s participation in shaping the future of transportation accessibility in El Paso County.
