El Paso County Office of the Medical Examiner

The Office of the Medical Examiner (OME) is a science-based, independent agency responsible for the medicolegal death investigation as well as the determination of cause and manner of death in sudden, unexpected, or unexplained deaths occurring within the El Paso County. The service incorporates the fields of forensic scene investigation, forensic pathology, morgue services, forensic imaging, forensic odontology, forensic anthropology, and forensic toxicology. The office is accredited by the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME).
