On May 30, 2014 Commissioner Carlos Leon Welcomes Business Expansion
On May 30, 2014, Commissioner Leon welcomed another small business to the Precinct 1 community. Helping Hands Visiting Angels provides in-home care for seniors and adults with an array of needs. Their philosophy is to keep the people of the community engaged in life mentally, spirituality and physically.
Helping Hands Visiting Angels offer help to the homeless, battered women and people battling depression. Other services they provide are support for families of felons and people who suffer from addictions. They also offer services to help the elderly live their last years with dignity.
Later that morning, Commissioner Carlos Leon and Mayor Oscar Leeser welcomed the expansion of Sierra Providence East Medical Center. This center specializes in cardiovascular services, obstetrics, neonatal intensive care and physical rehabilitation.
