Ysleta Annex Groundbreaking Ceremony

El Paso, Texas. - County Officials and members of the community gathered Tuesday, July 1st to officially break ground for the Ysleta Annex, our first energy-efficient facility.
The 30,000 square-foot building will house, at least, nine departments, which provide direct service to the public, among those will be; the Justice of the Peace No. 5, District Clerk, County Clerk, County Attorney, Adult Probation.
"With this new building we are bringing the county closer to the people," County Judge Anthony Cobos said during the ceremony.
The new building is located at 9521 Socorro Road and will be built using the Energy Star Criteria.
"I am pleased with the progress we have made on this project and anticipate its completion within the next 210 days," said Precinct 3 Commissioner Miguel A. Teran.
The firm Wright & Dalbin Architects Inc. designed the facility, which will feature two buildings with a central placita area.
Estimated cost of the project is estimated at $4.3 million.
A tentative cutting ribbon ceremony and open house for the 30 thousand square foot building has been set for December 12th.
