  • Gladys Carmona
    Supervisor/Crime Victims Liaison
    Ms. Carmona currently serves as a Crime Victims’ Liaison for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office- Victim Services Unit and is a Supervisor now for 13 years. Providing crisis intervention to victims of violent crimes out in the rural community. Prior to that time, she worked for the West Texas Community Supervision Department as a Probation Officer who dealt with domestic violence and child abuse cases. A graduate of New Mexico State University, Ms. Carmona received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Supplemental Major in Constitutional law.

    Patricia Bylicki
    Victim Specialist
    Mrs. Bylicki has been employed at the Sheriff’s Office for 20 years, but has been advocating for victims for over 25 years. She is bilingual, proficient in English and Spanish. Being a spouse of a retired service member she is able to advocate for dependent spouses and their children.
       


    JoAnna Arriola, LCSW, M.Ed., BCH
    Crisis Counselor
    Ms. Arriola is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas, currently practicing as a crisis counselor for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office- Victim Services Unit. Ms. Arriola completed her Master’s Degrees in Social Work and in Education at the University of Texas at El Paso. Ms. Arriola also holds a Bachelor degree in Community Health, obtained through New Mexico State University. She has over a decade of experience in working in the fields of mental health and public health across a variety of settings that span from servicing various populations from veterans and service members, adults living with or at high risk of HIV and Hepatitis C, survivors of crime, and other populations. Ms. Arriola has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals, families, and groups across the life span in the following areas: Trauma, Grief, Suicide/Self-Harm, Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Illness, Dual Diagnosis, and Crisis Intervention. 

    Mariana Y. Vega
    Victim Specialist
    Ms. Vega serves a bilingual Victim Specialist for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office- Victim Services Unit for 9 years providing emotional support to victims of crime. Ms. Vega has broad range of knowledge of appropriate state and local laws relating to domestic violence and crime victims. A graduate from The University of Texas at El Paso, Ms. Vega received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice.
