Chief Patrick J. Gailey, a lifelong El Pasoan, has served in law enforcement for over 40 years. He began his career with the El Paso Police Department, dedicating 22 years to various assignments and ranks before joining the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office as a Detention Officer. His extensive training includes the FBI National Academy, the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, and the El Paso County Leadership Academy. His distinguished service has earned him honors such as a Life-Saving Award and two Good Conduct Awards.
