Commander Jorge Cardenas has over two decades of public safety experience, starting as a firefighter with El Paso County Services, ESD #2, and retiring as Deputy Fire Chief. In 2005, he transitioned to law enforcement with the Socorro Police Department, where he served as a Police Officer, Detective, and Patrol Sergeant. He holds certifications as a Master Peace Officer, Mental Health Officer, and Courthouse Security Specialist, and is also a TCOLE instructor.
