Assistant Chief Donna E. Elizondo, a native of El Paso and Bel-Air High School graduate, began her career with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in 2001. She has served in various capacities, including the Inmate Processing Unit, Operations Escort Section, and Jail Annex. Through her dedication and leadership, she earned promotions to Corporal, Sergeant, and, most recently, Lieutenant in 2024, overseeing daily operations and facility security.
Assistant Chief Elizondo holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, a Master Jailer Certificate from TCOLE, and is a Certified Jail Officer by the American Jail Association. Her career exemplifies hard work and a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of El Paso County’s detention facilities.
