They found Elias Nicarsio Perez inside his van at that address. Perez was having difficulty breathing and was taken to University Medical Center. Investigators found that Perez was a field worker in New Mexico and was living out of his van while visiting El Paso. It seems that he was attacked sometime on Saturday, Feb. 5th, or early Sun., Feb. 6th.

Perez is known to visit friends and bars in the area, and often carried large sums of money. It is not known whom he might have been with that weekend. Perez died from his injuries the following Saturday, Feb. 12th.
