EL PASO, TEXAS- On 02-13-2012 at approximately 6:30 p.m., El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 14600 block of Santiesteban, El Paso County Texas, in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arriving, deputies noticed a white Honda Civic stopped just off the roadway, and a female/pedestrian lying on the roadway. Life ambulance and first responders arrived shortly thereafter and immediately transported the pedestrian/victim the hospital for possible head injuries. Sheriff’s Office Special Traffic Investigators were summoned to the scene. Their investigation revealed that the driver of the white Honda Civic, a 21 year old male, was traveling west bound at the 14600 block of Santiesteban, approaching the intersecting street Santicum, where the victim was attempting to cross the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. At this time, speed and alcohol are not factors and no charges are pending at this time. The victim, a 16 year old female, did not suffer any life threatening injuries.
