COLD CASE MURDER
A man is murdered at his place of business on Christmas Eve, and seven years have passed without an arrest. Crime Stoppers is assisting the El Paso Police Department in solving this long-overdue case,, making this the
Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.”
On December 24th 2003, 44 year old Fernando Martinez was found
murdered inside his business. Detectives from the El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit have been asking for the public’s assistance in bringing this case to a close.
The investigation suggests that the murder happened around 12-noon on Christmas Eve 2003 in Northeast El Paso when an unknown suspect, or suspects, entered Martinez’s business at 4496 Titanic and fatally shot him in the upper torso.
Martinez was originally from Artesia, New Mexico, and left behind a 4-year old child who would now be 11-years-old.
