- 10. Where do I pay a ticket?
If the citation is from the city police, please contact the El Paso Municipal Court. If a state highway patrol officer, constable or sheriff's deputy, please contact the justice of the peace precinct in which you were cited.

- 9. I live outside the city limits. How may I dispose of my garbage?
- If your water service utility does not provide trash pick-up, contact the Road and Bridge Department for the nearest garbage collection station.

- 8. Who has been booked into jail?
- Access the online Jail Search for all bookings within the last 14 days.

- 7. I have a court date. Where do I go?
- Your documentation should provide the name of the court (Example, 383rd District Court). You may also browse the Court Directory to find the presiding judge, court name and room number for your court.

- 6. How much does my birth certificate cost?
- Prices for Certified Copies are available on the County Clerk's web page.

- 5. Where can I apply for a passport?
- The District Clerk's office issues passports. Passports will be required for re-entry to the U.S. starting in January 2008.

- 4. What do I do about a hot check?
- The County Attorney's office handles hot checks. If you need to payoff a hot check, please visit Suite 503 in the County Courthouse at 500 E. San Antonio (map). If you are a merchant who has received a hot check, please visit the Hot Checks web page for more information.

- 3. I have land in a remote area and would like electrical service.
- You need a Certificate of Compliance from the Road and Bridge Department. NOTE: El Paso County has strict requirements concerning certificates for electricity. Please be sure to contact Road and Bridge for more information.

- The Elections Department maintains a list of current elected officials in PDF format. You may also enter your information in the Personalized Voter Information database to find your representatives.
