Office of the Medical Examiner - On August 6, 2004, the Office of the Medical Examiner conducted hands on training with the new mass disaster equipment we received through the Council of Governments grant. The equipment includes a mass fatality utility trailer, decontamination tent, portable generators, 2-way hand held radios, metal detector, portable air conditioner, stokes baskets and other equipment. Staff of the Office of the Medical Examiner attend yearly in-house training as well as city, county and national exercises simulating mass disasters. We are very well prepared to take care of the community should the need arise.
