EPCSO ARRESTS 2 SUBJECTS AND SEIZES MARIJUANA

El Paso, Texas – El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two subjects following a telephone tip received on Thursday, January 18, 2018.

The Sheriff’s Office conducted a follow-up investigation in Northeast El Paso, through the course of the investigation deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Dyer and Sierra Vista.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately one pound of “high grade" marijuana, commonly known as "Kush”.  Further investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Northeast El Paso.  The search of the residence revealed an additional 4 lbs. of “Kush” and additional items containing liquid and hardened THC oil.

Both occupants of the vehicle were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Jared McDonald age 25 was booked for POSS MARIJ >4OZ<=5LBS and POSS CS PG 2 >= 1G<4G (THC oils). Evin Alanis age 25 was booked for Poss CS PG 1 <1G (Cocaine).  The retail street value of the “Kush” marijuana seized is approximately $34,000.
