EPCSO INVESTIGATES HOMICIDE IN HORIZON CITY TEXAS

UPDATE -

El Paso, TX – On Sunday, November 05, 2017 22-year-old Erik Aragon of Horizon City, Texas passed away at a local area Hospital as a result of his injuries.

On Monday, November 06, 2017 The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation, which is now classified as a Homicide.

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance.

Anyone who may have been in the area of the McDonald’s Restaurant located at the intersection of Horizon Blvd. and Darrington Rd. Horizon City, TX., on Saturday, November 04, 2017 at approx. 10:00pm. Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity is urged to contact the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit at (915) 538-2291, Detective Robert Torrez or Sheriff’s Office Communications at (915) 832-4408.

The investigation continues no other information is available at this time.

Horizon City police are investigating a shooting that happened at about 10 p.m. Saturday behind the AT&T store near Horizon Boulevard and Darrington Road.

Horizon City police responded to a report of a down subject. When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive adult male bleeding on the ground.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim was described as a 22-year-old male who is a resident of Horizon City. The name and condition of the victim were not released.

The investigation continues. Horizon City police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 852-1047.
