EPCSO EXPLORER POST 2005 – SUMMER TRAINING SESSION RECAP

July 17, 2017

El Paso, TX – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 2005 and Community Services Section hosted their annual week-long summer training session July 10 – 14, 2017.

The goal of the Explorer Post is to afford an opportunity to adolescents and young adults of the community to observe, participate and learn about law enforcement. The explorer post and its advisors provide education, training, and afford them the opportunity to begin serving the community. We will provide the explorers with sound information on which to base their decision on pursuing a career in law enforcement.

This summer, Sheriff’s Office Explorers continued to work on their physical training, drill formation, live exercises and received classroom instruction for the following subjects: arrest and search, burglary in progress, traffic stop, crime scene investigation, domestic crisis, white collar crime process, officer down and active shooter.
