     On 08-03-14 at about 8:00am, a Sheriff’s Office Deputy was on his way home, after working the night shift, when he came across a family violence incident. The deputy witnessed a male subject assault a female at the 3600 block of George Dieter Dr. in El Paso. The deputy immediately intervened and detained the subject. The investigation revealed that the male and female involved were in relationship and had gotten into an argument before the assault. Subject Jory Patterson, a U.S. Army soldier, was arrested for Assault Class A/Family Violence. Once arrested, Patterson turned his aggression towards the deputy making several threatening statements. He was given an additional charge of Terroristic Threat Against a Public Servant. He was later booked into the Sheriff’s Office Jail Annex.
