On 04-26-14 at about 5:12pm, Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a motorcycle accident at the 4500 block of Flager St. in east El Paso County. Upon arrival deputies found a blue Honda motorcycle on its side and a 38 year old man on the ground with severe head injuries (he was not wearing a helmet). The Montana Vista First Responders and Life Ambulance arrived and tended to the driver. The driver was transported to Del Sol Medical center with serious injuries. Sheriff’s Office Special Traffic Investigators and Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene. The preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Flager St. at a curve located at the 4500 block. The 38 year old drove onto the unimproved right shoulder (gravel area), lost control, and flipped the motorcycle over several times and landed in the desert area. At this time it is unknown if alcohol, speed, or high winds in the area were contributing factors to this motor vehicle accident.  The driver remains in critical condition.
