On April 23, 2014 The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office had received several alarming complaints over a sexually descriptive FACEBOOK POSTING which involved juvenile females. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Special Victims Section and Crimes Against Person Sections, assisted by El Paso Police Officers, identified the person who had posted the comments as Miguel Yanez who lives at 447 S. Schutz El Paso, TX. On April 24th Sheriff’s Officers took Yanez into Custody on Charges of Harassment. Yanez was booked into the El Paso County Detention facility under a $10,000.00 bond.
At this point in the investigation, there is no evidence to support that any person(s) have been victimized, as stated in Yanez comments. The Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with any information to contact El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at (915) 546-2280.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to inform everyone that it is unlawful to initiate any communication by telephone, in writing, or by electronic communication any comments, requests, suggestions, or proposal that is obscene with the intent to harass, annoy, alarm, abuse, torment, or embarrass another.
