       On 01-29-14, a man wanted for theft charges and who was featured on El Paso’s Most Wanted was taken into custody. Gerardo Flores (53) was detained by CBP Officers at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry as he entered the U. S. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrants section Deputies were called to take custody of Flores and he was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for theft charges with bonds totaling $105,000.00.

       Also, on 01-29-14, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrants Section arrested Susana Gomez on a criminal warrant for the manufacturing / delivering of controlled substances. She was also wanted in connection with several robbery cases out of the city of El Paso. Deputies received information on Gomez and through their investigative efforts, where able to find her exact location. Deputies located Gomez at an address in Fabens Texas and took her into custody without incident. The El Paso Police Department was notified of her capture and Officials took custody of Gomez to further investigate her involvement in the robbery cases. Gomez was booked for the manufacture and delivery of controlled substance and also charged with two counts of aggravated robbery. Her total bond was $60,000.

EL PASO, TEXAS This week’s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is a convicted Sex Offender. The target has been identified as GARY WAYNE MIDDELTON of Clarksville, TX.

Law Enforcement is asking the community for help in locating GARY WAYNE MIDDELTON. Earlier this month, on 01/17/2014, MIDDELTON absconded from the El Paso Multi Use Facility located at 1700 Horizon, El Paso, TX. He never returned to the facility after receiving a permit to attend a Doctors appointment. He is currently on parole for the offense of Burglary of Habitation. His Sex Offense is for Aggravated Sexual Assault, the victim being a 77 year old female at the time of the crime.

GARY WAYNE MIDDELTON is now wanted for the offense of PAROLE VIOLATION with an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register forthcoming.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrants and Extradition section received information from the Patrol Section of the possible whereabouts of wanted felon, Robert Killebrew (24). Some of the information provided was that Killebrew changed his appearance to avoid capture.

Killebrew had been featured on El Paso’s Most Wanted, but has eluded capture. He was wanted for several outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants ranging from assault causing bodily injury, to injury to elderly/disabled.

Warrants section deputies canvassed the area and gathered information about Killebrew’s exact location. On the morning of 01/23/14, warrants deputies arrived at an east side El Paso home and surprised Killebrew as he sat on the front yard and took him into custody without incident.

     On 01-13-14 at about 7:00pm, Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to I-10 west mile marker 38 in reference to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival deputies observed two vehicles in the middle of I-10 West blocking both lanes. The investigation revealed that a grey Kia Soul was traveling west on I-10, when for unknown reasons, the Kia went off the roadway and struck a guard rail. The Kia then spun and ended up on I-10 west facing the wrong way. A grey Ford Mustang, driven by a 28 year old male, then crashed into the Kia head on. Both vehicles had single occupants and both were transported to Del Sol Hospital with injuries. I-10 had to be shut down for about an hour.

     Deputies later conducted a follow up investigation at the hospital and were informed that the 88 year old driver of the Kia was in critical condition. Sheriff’s Office Special Traffic Investigators (STI) were then notified. Investigators conducted an investigation and were advised at about midnight that the 88 year old driver had passed away. No cause of death was given but it was known that the 88 year old driver had several health issues. The driver of the Mustang had a broken ankle along with other minor injuries.

*The name of the 88 year old deceased male was identified as Jack Hanson Neff of Midland Texas. It is unknown what his destination was when the crash occurred.

On 01-08-14 at about 9:00pm, a horse was found in the Montana Vista area of El Paso County.  A concerned citizen saw the lose horse and kept it until the Sheriff’s Office responded. The Animal Control Unit responded and contacted Horses Unlimited. Representatives picked up the horse and took it to15415 Buckwheat St in El Paso County for boarding. If anyone knows who this horse belongs to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 915-546-2280.  The horse is a brown female about 5 years old and was in good health.

EL PASO, TEXAS This week MANHUNT MONDAY re-profiles a Fugitive / Former Sheriff’s Deputy who has been on the run for 11 years now for a crime committed almost 17 years ago. The target is identified as PETER CALZADA of El Paso, Texas.

In 1997, PETER CALZADA & another ex- Deputy Sheriff kidnapped and raped a woman while on duty. Both men were later convicted. In 2003, just before his sentencing CALZADA  failed to appear in court for sentencing and has not been seen since.

CALZADA was first featured on MANHUNT MONDAY in 2008 as the NO. 15 Fugitive profiled & has been featured every year since.

Recent Tips on CALZADA:

In 2009, information received indicated CALZADA had gained weight & was wearing his hair long. It was also mentioned that he was hiding in deep Mexico making a living as an instructor teaching the English language.

In 2012, a tipster indicated CALZADA was spotted at an airport facility in Arizona & quickly left just after CALZADA & the caller made eye contact.

There have been many theories on PETER CALZADA ‘s whereabouts to include possible sightings of him back in the Borderland.

PETER CALZADA remains on the run wanted for the offense of AGGRAVATED KIDNAPPING. He has been featured numerous times on Crime Stoppers of El Paso Most Wanted & remains Wanted by the the U.S. MARSHALS SERVICE.

On 01-03-14 at about 1:30am, Sheriff’s Office Deputies from the Clint Station were dispatched to the 400 block of NW Camp in Faben Tx, in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival a blue Chevrolet Tahoe was found upside down just off the roadway and had damaged a natural gas pipe line. The initial investigation revealed that the Tahoe was traveling eastbound on Camp St and went into the westbound lane. The Tahoe then struck several large rocks and rolled striking the gas pipe line and chain link fence. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle received minor injuries and was transported to Del Sol Hospital.

The  damaged gas pipe was capped by the Fabens Fire Department fire fighters and a representative from Texas Gas was requested to assess the damage. No residences had to be evacuated due to the gas pipe rupture. Contact with the property owner is pending for an estimate on damages.

Sheriff Badge black back     Sheriff’s Office Deputies from the Montana Patrol Station arrested Jesus Aguilera who was featured in November’s list of most wanted subjects and had eluded police until yesterday. On 01-01-14 Deputies responded to a family Violence call involving Aguilera in the Horizon area of El Paso County. Aguilera fled the scene and led deputies in a foot chase where he was able to get away temporarily. After almost two hours, Aguilera was spotted by deputies in the area of Eastlake Blvd and Darrington Rd, in Horizon, and was taken into custody. His total bonds equal $ 205,000
