EL PASO TEXAS- On 08-26-13 a Sheriff’s Deputy was patrolling the Montana Vista area when he saw a silver pick-up truck traveling northbound on O’Shea Dr., El Paso County, TX, and noticed a 2012 Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker affixed on the windshield.  The Deputy saw the inspection sticker was outdated and displayed a “3” to read an expiration of 2013.  A traffic stop of the vehicle resulted in the arrest of driver/Antonio Miranda for displaying a Fictitious or Counterfeit Inspection Certificate.

To display, cause, or permit a fictitious or counterfeit inspection certificate is a Class “B” Misdemeanor , punishable by confinement in Jail not to exceed 180 days, a fine not to exceed $2,000 or both (Transportation Code Sec. 548.603 (a).
