EL PASO, TEXAS – This week’s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an an individual wanted for a violent incident that took place in May 2012. The target is identified as EFRAIN VENEGAS (23) of El Paso, TX (originally Juarez, Mexico).
MAY 2012 Late May 2012, EPPD Officers were called to a residence in Northeast El Paso, TX in reference to a disturbance. Officers arrived and met with a female Victim who told authorities an ex-male acquaintance identified as EFRAIN VENEGAS who had recently been released from jail (at the time) arrived to her home & began arguing with the her. During the argument, family members of the Victim tried to intervene when VENEGAS threatened them while wielding a golf club & crow bar telling them he was going to “kill them”. VENEGAS continued his violent ways shattering & damaging the Victim’s car by striking it several times with the golf club. The Victim then called 911 as VENEGAS fled the area in a separate vehicle. Officers searched the area but were not able to locate him.
Charges have since been filed & VENEGAS is now wanted for the Offenses of: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON, TERRORISTIC THREAT, & CRIMINAL MISCHIEF that occurred the night in question. He is also wanted on an unrelated HARRASMENT charge & a separate CRIMINAL MISCHIEF case.
VENEGAS is known to be a violent offender & shows previous arrests for: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF A WEAPON, MULTIPLE ASSAULTS, RESISTING ARREST, FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE & A PAROLE VIOLATION.
It is believed EFRAIN VENEGAS remains in the area where he has several contacts in El Paso, Texas. Please help Law Enforcement take him off the streets & bring him to justice
