ON OCTOBER 24, 2011, COMMISSIONER’S COURT ADOPTED AN ORDER REGULATING FALSE ALARMS IN UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF THE COUNTY. FEES FOR PERMITS WILL BE REGULATED BY THE ORDER AS WELL AS PENALTIES FOR FALSE ALARMS.

In the Order, it states that persons can send or obtain an application at BITS/Downtown Jail. However, that location has recently changed. 

Alarm permits may be mailed in (or processed in person) with the appropriate fee to the Sheriff’s Headquarters Building located at 3850 Justice Drive, El Paso County, Texas 79938. Please refer to the following order: (view order)

FEE: $30.00 RESIDENTIAL SECURITY ALARM PERMIT

FEE: $60.00 COMMERCIAL SECURITY ALARM PERMIT

FALSE ALARM SERVICE FEE

FEE:  $75.00 FOR ALARMS (IN EXCESS

OF FIVE (5) FALSE ALARMS WITHIN A PROCEEDING TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD)

FEE: $100.00 REVOKED REINSTATEMENT
