El Paso County, Texas- 03-11-12, 4:45 a.m., El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of 3900 Buntline and 14600 Marvin Lane, El Paso, TX. The preliminary investigation revealed that a blue in color 2007 Ford Mustang, being driven by Fernando Varela was traveling westbound at the 14600 of Marvin, approaching the intersection of Marvin and Buntline. A red in color 2001 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling northbound at the 3900 block of Buntline with six occupants, 4 adults and 2 children. The driver of the ford mustang disregarded the stop sign and collided into the Chevrolet suburban. Upon impact, the Passenger of the Chevrolet Suburban was partially ejected through the passenger side window and died on scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office was summoned to the scene. All persons involved were treated by life ambulance for minor injuries and released on scene. The deceased is identified as 36 year old Sergio Aguayo of El Paso, Texas.
UPDATE- 03-14-2012 Sheriff’s Traffic Investigators arrested the driver of the Ford Mustang and booked him into the El Paso County Jail Annex on a charge of Manslaughter with a $90,000 bond.
