POLICE SEEK INFORMATION ABOUT CENTRAL MURDER
Crime Stoppers of El Paso is assisting the El Paso Police Department in identifying and locating the person or persons responsible for murdering a man in the central part of town,
Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.”
On Monday, February 7th, 2011, officers responded to a call of “man down” in the parking
lot of the Stagecoach Motel, 4110 Alameda. They found Elias Nicarsio Perez inside his van at that address. Perez was having difficulty breathing and was taken to University Medical Center. Investigators found that Perez was a field worker in New Mexico and was living out of his van while visiting El Paso. It seems that he was attacked sometime on Saturday, Feb. 5th, or early Sun., Feb. 6th.
Perez is known to visit friends and bars in the area, and often carried large sums of money. It is not known whom he might have been with that weekend. Perez died from his injuries the following Saturday, Feb. 12th.
