SWAT

El Paso, TX- On Friday, 12-02-11 at approximately 5:50 pm Strike Team Deputies in collaboration with the members of the El Paso Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team, executed a (narcotics) search warrant at a residence located at the 12800 block of Chaucer Road, El Paso County Texas.

Deputies received information of suspicious activity, narcotics being sold out of the residence at all hours of the day and night. After confirming the information during extensive hours of surveillance, traffic stops and arrest of persons leaving this residence, a search warrant was obtained and both teams executed the search warrant at the said location. United States Customs and Border Protection K-9 handlers assisted by also conducting a sweep of the residence using currency/firearm and narcotic/human detection canines.

Upon entry Strike Team and S.W.A.T. members came in contact with several subjects in the home to include Homeowner/Ruben Gonzalez who was found sitting inside the residence. Subject/Gonzalez was found to be in possession of marijuana (1.12 ounces), cocaine (5.0 GRAMS) and drug paraphernalia. Subject/Ruben Gonzalez was taken into custody and charged with the below offenses. He was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a total bond of $15,500.00.
