DEPUTIES RESPOND TO A BURGLARY OF HABITATION IN PROGESS RESULTING IN 1 ARREST

El PASO,TX- On 11-03-11, at approximately 10:45 PM, The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip in reference to a burglary of habitation in progress in Fabens, TX. Several Sheriff Patrol Units were dispatched to the area of Onate and North Loop in Fabens, TX.
Sheriff’s Deputies received further information that the residence being burglarized at the 700 block of Onate involved two male subjects and were now seen entering an additional residence located on the same block.
Deputies arrived to both residences and were told by the first home owner/victim his mobile home was burglarized as there was property damage and several items taken from his home. During the course of the investigation, Deputies found two pairs of shoe impressions inside and outside of the victim’s mobile home. Deputies investigating further at the second residence, where the subjects were seen entering, also found the same pairs of shoe impressions at that location.
Contact was made with the home owner at this location where an additional male subject was also located at this address. He was identified as Euginio Martinez (45) and detained for further questioning as his shoe impressions matched those at the address of occurrence. The second residence was not reported as a burglary only the last place the two subjects were seen last.
A detective from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office/Crimes Against Property Section was summoned to assist. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of male subject/Euginio Martinez for the offense of BURGLARY OF HABITATION. The Sheriff’s Office Crime, Records, Evidence & Forensics Section processed the scene. No further arrests have been made at this time.
