UPDATE-1 SUBJECT CAPTURED IN CONNECTION WITH STABBING

EL PASO TX-On 09-07-2011 at approximately 9:00 PM, a Sheriff’s Deputy received a tip that ISAAC SAPIEN was hiding in an apartment located at the 7000 block of Doniphan. Sheriff’s Deputies immediately set up a perimeter around the complex. After further confirmation that subject/SAPIEN was a resident there, a Sheriff’s Deputy knocked on the door to the apartment and announced their presence along with a felony warrant. After no response, and hearing shuffling sounds from within, Deputies announced they would make entry. Deputies tactically made entry and located subject/SAPIEN hiding in the rear bedroom, present in the room was an infant and a female believed to be his girlfriend. SAPIEN surrendered to Sheriff’s Officials without incident and was taken into custody and booked into the Downtown Detention Facility.

ISAAC SAPIEN was wanted in connection with the Aggravated Robbery that occurred on Wednesday morning, on 08-21-2011 at approximately 1:00 AM in Canutillo, TX (Westway area) where a warrant was later issued.

OMAR RODRIGUEZ is still at large and may be driving a grey in color Ford Focus. He is also wanted for the same Offense of Aggravated Robbery. RODRIGUEZ is believed to be a Barrio Azteca Gang Member and should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.
