DEPUTY BADGESAN ELIZARIO, TX- On Monday 12-07-2009 at 11:10 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Copan San Elizario, TX in reference to a Burglary of Habitation in progress. Deputies arrived moments later & met with a 13 year-old girl who was scared & shaking telling deputies that a few minutes earlier she was alone in the residence when noticed 2 male subjects arrive at the home and exit an SUV. The 13 year-old girl then told authorities she noticed both subjects approach the residence & saw one of the subjects go to the front door while the other walked around to the back of the house. The 13 year-old stated she then heard a loud crash as if a window was breaking at the rear of her residence. The subject then entered the residence through a back window as the frightened 13 year-old girl ran down the hallway of her home before the intruder could see her run into the bathroom. The 13 year-old hid in bathroom behind the shower curtain & called 911. The 13 year-old was very scared and shaken as she remained in contact with the 911 Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Operators.
