ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY / FAMILY VIOLENCE– $2,500 BOND
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA over 50 lbs. under 2,000 lbs.- **NO BOND**

EL PASO, TEXAS- This week’s Manhunt Monday Fugitive is an individual sought on ASSAULT & DRUG Charges.
On September 7, 2009, Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Montana Vista area in reference to a family violence call in progress. Deputies arrived and met with a female who told authorities she had just been assaulted by her common law husband who was identified as YOSHIO IRAM ACOSTA. The Victim told Deputies she & ACOSTA were arguing when he became aggressive towards her & threw her down to the ground & as she was getting up, ACOSTA approached her from behind and began choking her. The Victim stated ACOSTA released his grip once when he noticed she was passing out having trouble breathing. ACOSTA left the residence in a hurry shortly after. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate ACOSTA. An Emergency Protective Order has been placed on him since.
Further investigation revealed ACOSTA is also wanted for violating the terms of his probation stemming from a Narcotic Bust in 2006 where he was found with several hundred pounds of Marijuana.
A warrant of arrest been issued for YOSHIO IRAM ACOSTA for ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY INJURY / FAMILY VIOLENCE. ACOSTA knows he is wanted as he continues to elude capture.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s office urges anyone who knows the whereabouts or has seen YOSHIO IRAM ACOSTA to please call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477). Callers will remain anonymous & may be eligible for a reward if the information provided leads to the apprehension of the individuals featured.
